First frozen semen was only used approx. 2017.
If you register your foundation (and up) Valais Blacknose Sheep now
those registered Valais Blacknose Sheep in the Breed Up Program
remain there FOREVER
documenting PROVEN PARENTAGE and PEDIGREE.
And prove exactly what percentage they are,
not just take someone's word for it.
You generally cannot tell if a lamb is an F1, F2, etc. just by looking.
Without PROVEN PARENTAGE DNA
you are just taking someone's word for it.
( Never a great idea.)
We have created a singular open FLOCK BOOK with
DNA proven pedigree for foundation and
percentage-blood Valais Blacknose Sheep to be recorded.
The Valais Blacknose Breed Up program
will introduce hybrid-vigor through introduction of new gene combinations.
We are inviting everyone who wants to
to join us in the information sharing and fun.
If you happen to have any of your sheep registered
in another Valais Blacknose Sheep registry,
just send your registration paperwork from any other
recognized PROVEN PARENTAGE Valais Blacknose Sheep registry
to us for a Valais Blacknose Sheep Registry Certificate
at a minimal cost.
(MUST have proven DNA'd parentage and pedigree).

My Background :
My first passion, herd of 36 World Show Champion Gypsy Horses.
Assisted in early creation of Gypsy Horse Registry of America
which now has in excess of 2600 registered horses.
I use my Gypsy Horses and my Valais breed up sheep in our 501(c)3 non-profit
therapy program for Veterans and others.
Surmounters of Texas, just South of Fort Worth.
With my Gypsy Horses we've been responsible for bringing the Gypsy Horse World Show
to the Fort Worth Stock Show for six years. Been Clinician at State Fair of Texas for three years.
Been Clinician at San Antonio Stock Show for three years,
and did entertaining end educational presentations at Houston Stock Show.
The various Stock Shows and State Fairs drew crowds in excess of one million people each.
I will do all I can to bring this excitement to the Valais Blacknose Sheep breed over the next few years.
